This week:

- Converted and upgraded ScheduALL, a line of business application used in broadcast and media production. The old version: Foxpro based, the new version is SQL, for a production house in Birmingham. More upgrades for this software will be done this weekend. Also for them: migrated some PCs to Windows 7, set up a secondary domain controller, set up a remote desktop server, and some various and sundries.

- Relocated some switchgear from a wall mounted rack to a wall mounted cabinet

- Completed some in-wall wiring for a client that’s moving. I’m installing their cabinet this weekend.

- Rebuilt my web server and this site.

- Relocated printers and started to decommission a domain controller.

- Learned how to make a big old press look like a printer to a Windows network.

- Tracked down some good scanning software for MacOS 10.5 and a really old scanner.

- Restored an Exchange database with a bad page. It took 15 hours to restore (from disk) on the creaky old server, it mounted the restored database without a complaint, unlike the users :)

- Fixed delivery issues on three different Exchange servers (bad week, Microsoft. Bad week).

- Quoted some new workstations and three new server migrations.

- Started to understand “really big storage” – not that 32 TB is really big, but how do you keep that backed up? Answer: clone your storage and back up to that).
